    Custom milling services — housings, brackets, and complex-shaped parts.

    ELS Systems performs metal milling on CNC machines — from simple plates and brackets to housing parts and products with complex spatial geometry.

    Manufacturing is carried out according to the customer’s drawings, 3D models, sketches, or other technical documentation. If ready-made design documentation is not available or needs further development, ELS Systems’ own design and engineering department can join the project.

    From a plate to a complex housing

    Milling allows the manufacture of parts of various shapes and purposes. Typical products include:

    • housings and housing elements;
    • brackets;
    • plates;
    • flanges;
    • machine and mechanism parts;
    • parts with complex spatial geometry;
    • custom components according to the customer’s drawings.

    Depending on the part’s design, milling can include machining of planes, slots, holes, steps, contours, and other structural elements.

    For more complex products, correct datuming and workpiece clamping, the choice of operation sequence, and tool access to the required surfaces are important. This ensures the specified geometry and accuracy of the part without unnecessary process steps.

    CNC milling

    CNC milling allows processing according to a pre-prepared program and stable reproduction of the specified parameters when manufacturing a series of parts.

    At the same time, the result depends not only on the capabilities of the machine. Proper technology preparation, tool selection, workpiece clamping method, processing modes, and requirements for the finished product are all important.

    Before production starts, specialists analyze the drawing or 3D model, determine the material, dimensions, tolerances, quantity of parts, and required operations. Based on this, the process is defined and the optimal manufacturing method is determined.

    5-axis and 3-axis machining

    ELS Systems’ production capabilities are backed by a fleet of CNC metalworking equipment.

    For milling, we use, among others:

    • HEDELIUS ACURA 85 MARATHON — a 5-axis machining center with a rotary-tilt table;
    • HEDELIUS FORTE 65 Single 1320 EL — a 3-axis machining center.

    The HEDELIUS ACURA 85 MARATHON has axis travel of X/Y/Z — 900 × 850 × 700 mm. Its rotary-tilt table and 5-axis machining capabilities allow work with complex parts that require access to surfaces from different directions. Maximum table load is up to 1000 kg.

    Combining 3-axis and 5-axis equipment allows us to select the technology according to the design of a specific part. Simpler products only need 3-axis machining, while complex spatial parts may require the capabilities of a 5-axis center.

    Manufacturing from a drawing, 3D model, or sketch

    To start a job, you can provide a drawing, 3D model, or sketch with available technical parameters.

    If the customer only has a technical specification but not a complete set of design documentation, it can be passed to ELS Systems specialists for further review.

    Our own design and engineering department can prepare or refine the documentation needed for production, taking into account the technological capabilities of the equipment.

    This approach is especially important for custom products: the design is assessed not only in terms of functionality, but also the manufacturing method and technology.

    Machining housing and complex parts

    Manufacturing housing parts requires precise execution of planes, holes, mounting locations, and other structural elements on which the subsequent assembly of the product depends.

    For such parts, not just individual dimensions, but the relative positioning of functional surfaces, matter. That’s why the datuming method, sequence of operations, and required equipment are determined before production begins.

    When machining complex-shaped parts, we additionally take into account surface accessibility for the tool, the number of setups, and the need to change the workpiece orientation.

    Materials and production volumes

    ELS Systems performs milling of carbon and stainless steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals.

    Processing parameters are selected based on the properties of the specific material, the part’s design, and requirements for the finished product.

    Milling can be done for both single parts and series batches. Single-unit production is relevant for repairs, component replacement, custom products, or prototypes. Series orders suit enterprises that need regular manufacturing of identical parts in a defined quantity.

    Milling as part of integrated production

    For industrial customers, it’s important to be able to perform not just a single operation, but the entire required scope of work.

    ELS Systems has its own production facility and design and engineering department, and has been operating on the market for over 11 years. Milling can be part of an integrated production process that also includes turning, laser cutting, welding, painting, assembly, and other operations.

    This format is convenient for B2B customers who need a finished component, assembly, or product, rather than a single operation.

    How to order milling work

    To get a quote, send a drawing, 3D model, sketch, or technical specification. It is also advisable to indicate the material, the required quantity of parts, and requirements for accuracy, surfaces, or subsequent assembly.

    ELS Systems specialists will analyze the design, determine the optimal processing method, and prepare a manufacturing proposal.

    You can order single-unit or series manufacturing of parts, a single milling operation, or an integrated production task.

    Send us your technical specification — we’ll determine the optimal manufacturing technology and prepare a quote.
