    Metal machining — turning, milling and grinding services to order.

    Metal machining is a set of technological operations that determine the geometric accuracy, dimensions, and surface quality of the finished part. ELS Systems performs turning, milling, and grinding of metal for single-unit and series production.

    Manufacturing is carried out according to the customer’s drawings, 3D models, and other technical documentation. If ready-made design and process documentation is not available, specialists from our own design and engineering department can carry out the necessary technical development.

    What metal machining includes

    Depending on the design and purpose of the part, the process can include one or several operations:

    • turning;
    • milling;
    • grinding;
    • polishing and other surface finishing operations.

    An integrated approach allows sequential operations to be carried out within a single production process, without the need to hand the part off between several subcontractors.

    Turning

    Turning is used to manufacture parts with rotational surfaces — shafts, bushings, flanges, and other cylindrical or combined elements.

    Milling

    Milling is used to manufacture housing parts, plates, brackets, and other components with more complex geometry. Depending on the design and requirements of the part, the appropriate processing technology and equipment are selected.

    Grinding and surface finishing

    Grinding and other finishing operations are used when it is necessary to achieve the specified dimensional accuracy, geometry, and surface quality of a part.

    CNC equipment

    ELS Systems’ production capabilities are backed by a fleet of modern CNC metalworking equipment.

    For milling, we use, among others:

    • HEDELIUS ACURA 85 MARATHON — a machining center with a rotary-tilt table;
    • HEDELIUS FORTE 65 Single 1320 EL — a 3-axis machining center.

    For turning, we use:

    • SPINNER TTS-65 Duplex / Triplex.

    This equipment lets us select the processing technology according to the part’s design, material, required accuracy, and production volume.

    What parts we manufacture

    Machining is used to manufacture a wide range of metal parts and components:

    • shafts and bushings;
    • flanges;
    • housing parts;
    • brackets;
    • plates;
    • parts with complex geometry;
    • other components according to drawings and technical specifications.

    ELS Systems works with carbon and stainless steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. The process is selected based on the properties of the specific material and the requirements for the finished part.

    Manufacturing from a drawing, 3D model, or technical specification

    To start an order, it is enough to provide a drawing, 3D model, or available technical information about the required part.

    If the design documentation needs further development or has to be created from scratch, our own design and engineering department can join the project. This makes it possible to start manufacturing not only from a ready-made documentation package, but also from a technical specification that requires engineering work and development of the optimal production solution.

    Before production starts, we determine the material, quantity of parts, accuracy and surface requirements, and the optimal sequence of operations.

    Integrated production for B2B

    For industrial customers, what matters is not only the quality of a single operation, but the ability to organize the entire production process.

    ELS Systems has its own production facility and design and engineering department, and has been operating on the market for over 11 years. Machining can be part of an integrated manufacturing process that also includes welding, painting, assembly, and other production operations.

    This approach makes it possible to obtain a finished component or product within a single production chain, reducing the number of external subcontractors and simplifying order control.

    Not just the machine — the whole process route matters

    When a part requires several types of processing, the process route is defined before production begins. The sequence of operations depends on the part’s geometry, functional surfaces, accuracy requirements, material, and the subsequent assembly method.

    This approach makes it possible to assess the manufacturability of the part in advance, determine the optimal manufacturing method, and avoid unnecessary operations.

    How to order metal machining

    To get a quote, send a drawing, 3D model, or technical specification. It is also advisable to indicate the material, the required quantity of parts, and any special requirements for accuracy or surface quality.

    ELS Systems specialists will analyze the design, determine the optimal technology, and prepare a manufacturing proposal.

    We accept single-unit and series orders for metal machining.

    Send us your technical specification — we’ll help determine the optimal manufacturing method and calculate your order.

    Related Services

    Machining is often combined with other production operations — everything can be ordered within a single production cycle:

    Frequently Asked Questions

    What is the minimum order quantity?
    We accept both single parts and series production — there’s no minimum, pricing is calculated individually.
    What drawing formats do you accept?
    DWG, STEP, PDF. If you don’t have a finished drawing, send a sketch or description — our design department can help.
    What tolerances can you guarantee?
    It depends on the part and equipment — the exact tolerance is defined after reviewing the drawing or technical task.
    How long does a cost estimate take?
    Usually we prepare a quote within one business day after receiving the drawing.
